Brendan out of Targa High Country

Brendan and Rhianon have been forced out of Targa High Country after  running out of road on a downhill section and tipping the car over on Stage 11.  After a fast straight into a sharp right corner, Brendan had some initial brake fade, which led to him having too fast an entry into the corner and with no other option but to run up the bank or hit another car already crashed, Brendan ran off the road. 

"Another car was already stopped on the road, so in order to avoid it, I had to brake really quickly and we were forced to run wide on the road," Brendan said. "We then got into the dirt and hit the bank, tipping the car onto its roof."

"It's extremely disappointing as we were having such a great event and the Mazda was going beautifully," he added.

Brendan and Rhianon were leading the Showroom Class by over four minutes at the time of the accident. Neither were injured in the incident.
